Two hundred years ago the Opepe lands were recorded as being beautiful ngahere (forest) holding an abundance of food.

Today, Opepe Farm Trust is 4876ha with 6000 shareholders. There are two dairy units, a sheep and beef unit, and forestry.

Opepe Farm Trust’s goal is to protect, enhance, and utilise the whenua for the present and future.

Through managing and growing sustainable entities, the Opepe Farm continuously strives to create stability for the next generation while protecting the whenua and reducing their carbon footprint.

A core kaupapa of the Opepe Farm Trust is that the health of the land comes first. From healthy land comes healthy people and animals. Opepe Milk is the first fresh farm produce to be made available direct to Taupō locals.
